This has been a great year, and thanks to all that have helped around our lodge home., But we are struggling due to the economy and need all the help we can get. our Membership has dropped and I would like to ask all members to sponsor atleast one new member this year. This should not be that hard, we all have friends and if we all signed just one new member this year we would sign over 100 new members and not only would membership grow but the new members income into the lodge would be felt.
I also want to thank WOTM 2284 for all they have done to help us this year. Without the women we would not be open today. Thanks again ladies.
Our senior dinner was a sucess yet again due to hard work and dedication from all of you, we feed over 400 seniors in a great community service to our community and with 2 Mayors, United Way and our Regional Manager in attendence it was great.
Thanks again for the great year, and please help and sign new members.

Good day Brothers and Sisters,
It has been a year of trials and tribulations, a year of fun and mischief and fellowship. This year has passed quickly and it has been my great pleasure to be a part of Rockingham lodge as not only your governor but your friend. And before I go any further, Joanne and I would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt support and friendship.
There are sooo many things that need to be taken care of to maintain our lodge and to constantly meet our goals. The two biggest are membership and money. If we can continue to bring in new members it should help with the $$$ we are always asking for from our current membership. Yes, it is a pain to always seem like what some people say is (nickel and dimed) every time we walk into our lodge. Please keep in mind that we are trying to support our lodge. No one likes to always sell these tickets and we truly understand that you cannot always buy. But we do kindly ask that you give what you can. It is necessary for us to accomplish our goals and to keep our lodge up and running for our families and friends to have a safe place to gather. In addition, if we had more members it would lessen the burden overall; from donating and buying raffle tickets to volunteering your time at any of our lodge functions. Not all of the money we raise goes to the lodge. Many of the dollars we collect goes back to the parties we provide to the kids during the year, outside charities and for the seniors dinner that many in Richmond county look forward to each year in December.
With your help we can all continue to enjoy our lodge and fellowship together. The one thing I can honestly say is that we can all definitely agree to disagree. In order for this to work however, we need for as many as possible to attend our regular meetings. We need your ideas and your time to help us all succeed. We can sit and talk in the social quarters from daylight to dark but the regular meeting is the place to bring up your thoughts in order for the necessary changes to be made the correct way and to keep any misinformation from being passed on.
In closing I want to thank everyone for their help this year. From donations to time none of it would have been possible without you. The list is too long to mention everyone but you know who you are.
Merry Christmas everyone and I pray that all have a safe, happy and prosperous New Year.
